Health, Safety, and Personal Care

Nutritious Meals

Our comprehensive approach to child care includes serving healthy, nutritious, and organic meals (morning snacks, hot lunches, and afternoon meals) as part of the tuition. Fresh fruits and vegetables are a staple in our menu, with vegan and vegetarian options available. We accommodate personal lunches for children with allergies or special diets, providing refrigeration and heating as needed.

Any food allergies MUST be communicated in writing and marked on your child’s health form.

Rest and Nap Time

Rest is crucial for young learners, and we provide a comfortable environment for this with labeled preschool bed cots and weekly laundered bedding, ensuring a hygienic rest space for every child.

COVID-19 Precautions

Your child’s health is our priority. Learn about our comprehensive health and safety practices in response to the pandemic.

Comprehensive Health and Hygiene Practices

To safeguard the health of all our children, we require up-to-date immunizations and mandatory physician reports. Our health policy covers a wide range of concerns, including allergies, medications, and the use of special lotions. All medical information must be documented and kept current in our files.

  • Immunization and Physician Reports: A completed Physician Report is required before your child’s first day, with updates necessary after each immunization.
  • Special Health Concerns: If your child requires medication, has allergies, or has other health conditions, these should be clearly noted.
  • Hygiene Practices: We ask that children’s nails be trimmed regularly and that any lotions or ointments used are unscented for the comfort and safety of all our children.

Diapering and Toileting

Parents are asked to provide clearly labeled diapers and wipes for children in diapers. We maintain a regular schedule for diaper changes and offer potty training support, aiming for children to be potty trained by age 3.

Children’s Clothing

Please dress your child in comfortable, washable clothes appropriate for various activities. We also recommend non-skid, closed-toe shoes to ensure safety during indoor and outdoor play. Two changes of clothing should be provided.

Shoes with Velcro fasteners are highly recommended, as they make it easier for children, especially younger ones, to put on and take off their shoes independently.
