Health, Safety, and Personal Care
Nutritious Meals
Our day care center offers healthy, organic meals—morning snack, hot lunch, and afternoon meal, with vegan and vegetarian options available —included in tuition. Fresh fruits and vegetables are staples as well. We accommodate personal lunches for children with allergies or special diets and provide heating and refrigeration as needed. Written communication of food allergies is mandatory.
Rest and Nap Time
A comfortable environment is provided for rest, featuring labeled preschool bed cots and weekly laundered bedding for hygiene
COVID-19 Precautions
Your child’s health is our priority; contact our day care center to learn more about our robust health and safety measures in response to the pandemic.
Comprehensive Health and Hygiene Practices
To ensure all children’s health, we require up-to-date immunizations and physician reports. Our day care center’s health policy includes details on allergies, medications, and hygiene requirements, which must be documented and kept current.
- Immunization and Physician Reports: Completed reports are required before your child’s first day, with necessary updates after each immunization.
- Special Health Concerns: Document any allergies, medications, or health conditions clearly.
- Hygiene Practices: We ask for regular nail trimming and the use of unscented lotions or ointments for the comfort and safety of all children.
Diapering and Toileting
Parents should provide clearly labeled diapers and wipes. At our day care center, we follow a regular diaper-changing schedule and support potty training to help children become potty-trained by age 3.
Children’s Clothing
Dress your child in comfortable, washable clothes and non-skid, closed-toe shoes for safety during play. Please provide two changes of clothing. Velcro shoes are recommended for independence.

We Welcome Parents' Involvement
Our early childhood educational program celebrates and encourages parental involvement, recognizing you as your child’s first teacher. Join us for family-centered activities and participate actively throughout the year.
School Photos and Videos Release
Permission to photograph or film your child is assumed unless otherwise indicated in writing. You are welcome to fill a permission form upon enrollment.
WHCA is committed to inclusivity, not discriminating based on race, creed, color, national origin, religion, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, or marital status in any operations, policies, or procedures.
